A video game collection in blog form… a constant work in progress
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
A port of one of the greatest games of all time, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D was perhaps the first must-have game on the 3DS handheld. Unfortunately it’s just a port, so that isn’t saying much about the 3DS itself. Still though, this version of the game is superior to past iterations of OoT for a few reasons, not the least of which being the obvious graphical overhaul. Everything looks much better on the 3DS; Link looks much more detailed, everything moves smoother, and things don’t look so fuzzy around edges. On top of that, that system’s touch screen is utilized for inventory management as well as hotlinking attacks and items, making the game much simpler to control. A boss rush mode is added to the game, giving at least something different from the standard affair seen on the N64, but other than that it’s the same ol’ TLoZ you’re used to. And that is definitely not a bad thing.
