My very first Animal Crossing game was actually one of the best. If you’re unfamiliar with the Animal Crossing series, each game is a city builder/simulation game where you are the newest member of a town inhabited by anthropomorphic animals. As you work jobs to repay your house you’ll also become friends with the citizens, landscape the world, collect fish and insects, attend town festivals, and in general do everything you’d do if you were living in a real world. People get addicted to these games and I can see why, although I’m not the biggest fan of simulation games. The fact that this one is portable and online makes it one of the best regarded games in the series.
