Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon

Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon Cover

System: DS

Genre: Tactical/Strategy

Release: 2/16/09

Completed: Partially

A remake of the very first game in the series, Shadow Dragon was not a very good game in my opinion. I’m pretty sure the reason the game was remade and/or localized in English was due to the success of Super Smash Bros. Melee where Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon hero Marth is a popular character. Either way, this game is slow, boring, and just not very fun. Perhaps some of the excitement was lost in time, as the original release on the Japanese Super FamiCom was way back in 1994. If you’re excited about Fire Emblem games, or have heard good things about the series being a fantastic strategy series, I suggest looking anywhere else for a better game. There are much better strategy games on the DS, and much better Fire Emblem games out there.
