A video game collection in blog form… a constant work in progress
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
A sequel to Wind Waker on the GameCube, Phantom Hourglass retains the cel-shaded art style first seen in the GameCube game and translates the familiar Zelda formula to the touch screen of the DS. Being the first Zelda game on the DS, Phantom Hourglass was highly praised for its gameplay and effective use of the touchscreen. Having yet to finish Wind Waker I’ve staved off my urges to play this one, as it is a direct sequel and I don’t want to spoil anything (although I feel like I know everything that will happen anyway). Combined with the sequel also on the DS, Spirit Tracks, Phantom Hourglass makes up an entire timeline of events in the Zelda chronology.
