Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey

Strange Journey is… strange. It’s an Atlus Shin Megami Tensei game, so I went into it knowing it would be on the weird side, but the gameplay is also odd. A first-person perspective RPG (which is apparently called “Rougelike”), you still recruit a variety of monsters and demons to aid you in your quirky journey. The story concerns you and your team exploring the Schwarzwelt, a black-hole-like entity that has unknown implications. But really you’re exploring a demon world. You know, SMT generic plot. The dungeon crawler genre has some better titles than this, but fans of Atlus games will find the change of standard gameplay welcoming.
