SNK Vs. Capcom: Card Fighters DS
Genre: Card Fighter
The rivalry between Capcom and SNK is all but over, but it used to be a heated debate. Which side had the better games? Which side had the better characters? Which side was the future of the fighting genre? Seeing as most all of those questions can be answered by saying “Capcom” and the rivalry between the two has been over for some time now, you might not understand the entire idea behind a title like SNK Vs. Capcom: Card Fighters DS. Strangely enough, this is the third game in the series, the first two coming out on the ill-fated Neo Geo Pocket handheld. Like those goes, Card Fighters DS is a card battling game in which you build a deck composed of characters across both companies storied franchises and use said deck to knock out your opponents in duels. It’s a fun game that is going to be enjoyable only to those that are die hard Capcom and/or SNK fans. Even then it’s a bit of a stretch, as the gameplay isn’t too thrilling. But seeing all these characters in one place is fun, and that’s not to mention the chibi art style is pretty neat too.
