A portable version of the PS2/Wii game Dokapon Kingdom, Dokapon Journey is a combination role-playing game, board game, and strategy game hybrid that, strangely, works out well. You pick a character and amount of time to play the game ala Mario Party, and then when you get on the game board your goal is to kill monsters, gain items and gold, level up, claim kingdoms, screw over your opponents, and become the most powerful player in the game. While the PS2 version can get crazy fun and out of control with plenty of hijinks and backstabbing, the more solo experience on the DS isn’t quite as memorable.
